Cajun Fall Hunt Test
The Cajun HRC hosted their annual fall hunt test October 7&8, 2023 at the Gueydan Old Festival Grounds. Fifty handlers joined the Cajun HRC with over 100 dogs, both days to test their talents at passing and titling in started, seasoned, and finished. Highlights...
April 2020 – Congratulation to Snooks and Sam for earning 1000 points.
March 2020 – The club hosted several events during the months of February and March: judges’ seminar, upland hunt, and hunt test. All three events were greatly successful and appreciated by participants. There were 30 judge credentials renewed, 74 ribbons awarded at the upland hunt, and about 224 ribbons awarded at the hunt test.

December 2019 – At our annual Christmas Party at the Whitsan’s Partyroom in Abbeville, everyone enjoyed themselves. Dog title plaques were given out to members. The food was awesome and plentiful. Members even got to watch the Heisman Trophy awarded to the LSU quarterback. There were some amazing gifts for the “white elephant” gift exchange, such as a drone, crown royal, reindeer outfit, and a hooded puppy wrap. See the pictures in our photo gallery.
September 2019 – At the monthly meeting, members finalized hunt test items, such as menu for Friday and Saturday night, purchase of birds, bird tech confirmation, and headquarters location. Headquarters for this hunt will be at the Duck Festival Building on Hwy 14, Gueydan. Maps of test site locations will be printed and available at Headquarters.
